Mother and Children Portraits

Filed in: Family, Motherhood

Question for you: what is more timeless, more precious, more classic, than mother and children portraits?

Answer: um… nothing. Yeah… no, there is nothing more precious than this.

You might recognize these sweet faces… and there’s a reason for that! When we created black-and-white family portraits for this Georgtown, TX brood the mother and children aspect of the session fell under the shadow everything else we created that day.

So a few days later, when CC emailed me asking if I had any portraits of just her with her children, and I only had one image, I immediately guessed we would do another session – and we did!

(BONUS: Any return session booked with 1 year of your first session is complimentary!)

Much more abbreviated than the first, this session was just under an hour long – and we nailed every look!

Our mother and children portrait inspiration was high-end accessory advertisements.

You know what I’m talking about… Patek Phillipe watches, Tiffany rings. Classic, gorgeous, timeless portraits.

What mother or father wouldn’t want gorgeous, high-end portraits of them and their children? (Everyone. Everyone wants that of them and their precious little ones.)

CC and I used pinterest to style these gorgeous portraits together and create a cohesive vision.

(And obviously, for this set of mother and daughter… black and white was the only way to go!)

Think back for a moment…

Have you ever looked through Vogue… or Vanity Fair… or Architectural Digest… and wished for those beautiful, “candid” moments between loved ones?

If you’re like most parents (and me!), you certainly have!

Stop wishing, and take one simple step to enjoy those beautiful wall art pieces in your own home.

What step is that, you ask? Super easy: Just contact the studio here to book your dream family portrait session!

The W family had their reveal last night and so now I can finally show these off - and one of these is a gorgeous 36×36” portrait above their fireplace!
