10 Year Anniversary Portraits

Filed in: Beauty, Family, Studio

Why would you get 10 year anniversary portraits? When I sit down for a new client consultation, I always ask some variation of, “When was the last time you had professional portraits done”? The response is often, “We haven’t had professional portraits since we got married.” It sounds surprising, but think about it – is it true for you?

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone! But you might be thinking, “Is a photoshoot the way I want to celebrate a marriage milestone?” Or, “When is the right time for a photoshoot?” Or, “What would an anniversary photoshoot even look like?

Look no further than Makara and Patrick. They were going to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary with a vow renewal and celebration, but of course, Covid.

So instead, these two beautiful human beings celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary with dreamy, steamy portraits! Our inspiration was a gorgeous Needle & Thread gown, mixed with magical fairyland florals.

Makara and Patrick dated long distance for a little over a year, but they wrote to each other every single day during that time. Makara estimates they wrote several tens of thousands of pages during that time.

They know each other through and through, and their energy is sweet, unique, trusting, fun, and sexy.

Patrick and my asssistant, Ethan, kept our tunes fresh the whole time, while Lisa, my stylist, kept Makara’s makeup and hair fresh as well!

I invite you to a peek into their beautiful, 10 year anniversary portraits.
