When Tanya got on the phone with me and said she wanted black and white family portraits, I thought, these need to be a little Hollywood-style, too!

Well, where do you think I drew inspiration from?

Anna, was it from a well-known jewelry brand’s recent photo-shoot of a celebrity power couple? *cough* Bey & Jay *cough*

Well DUH.

Black-and-white, Hollywood-style family portraits!?

I mean, that’s basically their whole brand. Yeah, you know the one: with the little blue boxes and gorgeous, feel-good holiday ads.

Tanya needed family photos for her new gallery wall (in addition to some updated headshots, but that’s a post you can find here). So, we selected a color palette that was clean and simple, with pops of green from her daughter’s dress.

We wanted these family portraits to look good no matter whether they were in color or black and white. (And I knew that pure white background that would give that clean, Hollywood style Tanya was looking for!)

Not going to lie, I think we nailed it – and I can’t wait to show off her gallery wall!
