Dancers are some of my favorite subjects to photograph. There is always a beautiful sense of movement, drama, and grace. The commitment that goes with studying dance in the elementary, middle school, and high school years is a huge choice that requires sweat, blood, and tears from young women, yet builds in them tenacity and self-respect. So, it is always an honor to meet these young women, to watch them dance and to photograph with them.

O came to the studio to invest in traditional dance photos for her portfolio, and we also created some stylized, “fun” portraits.
