One of my favorite holiday traditions was and is the traditional, annual family photo. No matter how classy or cheesy, there’s a warm, fuzzy place in my heart for these. We have more than two decades of photos of my family at Christmas time. My first memories occur around 5 years old, when Dad would set up our little point and shoot camera on a tripod in the front yard, or on the mantle while we all squished on a couch. Then we got really classy and “upgraded” when I was about 8, and we would all make the trek into JCPenney with our matching sweaters and softly curled hair. We stuck with that one for a while. And finally, for the last 8 or 9 years, I’ve taken over the job, making each photo with my family a new scene, a new capstone for representing one year finished and another to come.
This year, I’m bringing back the Holiday Mini Sessions! These are geared toward those needing ye olde family photo, but really, anyone is welcome. Groups can be up to 10 people in size, with no minimum. (So those of you with big families, or those wanting to do couple shots, I’m thinking of you.) These little sessions we’ll have together are about 30 minutes long (depending on whether the baby has had a nap, someone needed to pick up starbucks, etc.).

There will be three days of the Holiday Mini Sessions, on these dates:
Austin: October 10 & 11
New Braunfels: October 12

Each mini session spot is a total of $125. (The photography and editing is $100, and the booking fee is $25.) For Austin families, 8 sessions are available on Friday, and 8 are available on Saturday, with sessions starting at 9:30am.
The New Braunfels sessions begin on Sunday at 3:30pm.

Each session 30 minutes long and is on a first come, first serve basis. I will let you know what time-slot you’ve been given. Within a few weeks you will have an online gallery of 15-20 images delivered right to your inbox, with the ability to print, download, and share your images from that gallery, and leaving you tons of time to get those Christmas letters written and sent out.

You will receive an exuberant email from me with the details on where we are shooting, how to pay the $25 booking fee, and when we will be meeting.
