First, to everyone who has emailed me and replied to my first adventure-post (was going to call it my baby-post but I got told that sounded weird), THANK YOU. Your generosity and open arms have led to me squealing on the phone to my Austin guy in excitement of our prospective homes-away-from home. I literally have a week’s-worth of emails in my inbox to respond to, and am elated at the realization I will be finally able to see old friends and make new ones.
A note to everyone who has sent in a welcoming email, please expect a personal email response from me no later than this coming mid-week. At this point we are managing logistics/strategy (I had to make it sound super official) and what would work best for our itinerary, and will notify you as soon as our plans are solidified.
Yesterday was officially the beginning of our summer adventure – I drove from Oklahoma City to Dallas and picked up my guy from the airport. Drove to the home of a friend’s aunt, and today we/he saw that friend graduate from Seminary.
Today has left me so full (in many ways!) – so much happy partying and fellowshipping over hearty Mexican dishes and warm and intellectual and laughing conversations about historical theology and wedding photography and teething necklaces and consumed way more coffee than is probably healthy.
Best way possible to kick off summer schemes.
Last shot of my favorite pillows – I’ll miss my handmade little burlap-y sleeping buddies. (Clarification: the whole not-falling-in-love thing was made while being happily single…. time and a certain young man have proven me soundly wrong.)
These handsome little gents are me lil’ boy-siblings. I’ll miss their little mugs.
The Friend’s graduation and my Austin guy.
This home consistently begets the best conversations with the best kind of people.
Evening light. The best place for a kitchen table.
Aaaaaaand one more photo, we can’t wait to see you!!!
